Garment care
Care instructions for silk products
Silk is a 100% natural biofibre, consisting of proteins secreted from the silkworm glands of silkworm caterpillars when curling cocoons. To preserve the unique properties, durability and exceptional beauty of natural fiber, you must follow the basic rules for caring for silk products.
Silk is a protein whose composition is very close to the epidermis of human skin, therefore, like your skin, silk does not tolerate hot water and alkaline substances contained in ordinary washing powders at all.
Silk items can be washed by hand or in a machine at 30°C, using special liquid detergents, ready-made conditioners, gels designed for silk and setting the "Silk" or "Delicate" wash.
Hand washing of silk products from the side resembles a light play of hands: with one stroke we immerse the silk in not very soapy water, and after a few seconds we take it out, repeat the immersion and do this several times in a row.
Sometimes silk stains the water slightly after washing. There is no cause for alarm. To prevent molting, you can add 9% vinegar to cold water (at the rate of 2 tablespoons of vinegar per 10 liters of water) and rinse. So you eliminate the remnants of alkali that are harmful to the fabric and fix the paint.
Rinsing a silk item is also done extremely delicately: we dip the item in cold water, shake it slightly and remove it from the water.
Do not use fabric softeners.
Silk should never be twisted or tumble dried. Squeeze lightly and hang the product, the remaining water will drain.
Do not dry silk in the sun.
Iron silk from the wrong side, setting the “silk” mode using steam.
Care instructions for wool products
Read the care instructions on the label before washing your woolen garment.
We recommend washing clothes made of wool by hand at 30°C, or in a washing machine in the "hand or delicate wash" mode without using the spin function. Also use special detergents for delicate fabrics. Washing in cold water will not only help preserve the color of your favorite woolen garments, but it will also keep your garments in their original shape longer (clothes may warp in hot water). Dry wool products on a horizontal surface or in a dryer using a delicate drying mode. To prevent wool from stretching during the drying process, never dry it in an upright position.
We recommend ironing woolen products upside down using an average temperature regime, and it is best to use a steam generator.
The appearance of pellets is an inevitable phenomenon for things made of wool. But with proper care, you can easily get rid of them with a special machine, and do not forget to use emollients for delicate washing.
Velor Care Instructions
Before you start washing a velor product, you must read the recommendations indicated on the label.
Velor clothing is recommended to be washed before first use. Washing helps to remove lint and dust from the fabric that enters the nap weave of the fabric during technological processes, both during the production of the fabric itself (The fabric is obtained by warp-pile weaving of cotton or woolen threads. After weaving the loops, the fabric is cut, the resulting lint is combed), and during cutting when sewing products.
In the process of washing, in no case do you need to rub the fabric intensively.
When washing in the washing machine, we recommend choosing a temperature setting of 30°C, as well as the "hand or delicate wash" function without using the spin function, but drying in the machine in a delicate mode, or drying on a horizontal surface is allowed. It is necessary to use a special detergent for knitwear that does not contain bleach.
It should be remembered that colored, white and dark colors must be washed separately.
You need to iron the product only inside out, barely touching it with an iron using steam. But the most effective and delicate method of ironing velor is to use a steam generator.
